How to use this estimate
How the wallpaper calculator works
This calculator uses a drop-based wallpaper method. It estimates how many vertical wallpaper drops are needed around the room perimeter, then estimates how many full-height drops can be cut from each roll.
Pattern repeat and waste allowance can increase the number of rolls because matching a pattern may require extra material at the top or bottom of each drop.
What to measure
Measure the room length, room width, and wall height. Then check the wallpaper roll label for roll length, roll width, and pattern repeat.
Use the same unit system for the room and roll measurements. In metric mode, typical wallpaper rolls may be around 10.05 meters long and 0.53 meters wide, but labels vary.
